Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - ronnie420 - Aug 9, 2025 I have never been a fps player because they always make me stressed out, i tend to prefer single player games. So, what is it that appeals to you about them? I hear ya, I used to be so bad at COD, I just kept playing and watching my brother who is bad ass at it, I will nvr get as good as him, but I have seriously improved my skills over the years. For me it feels physical, after a COD bender my hands feel so messed up, I want to keep playing but I physically have to stop. I haven't played for over a Month and now this weekend is Battlefield 6 Beta, so I think I am in for a bruising again tomorrow after I know my bro is going to fire it up as he has it preloaded. EDIT: Playing Xbox btw... RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - plops - Aug 10, 2025 Sometimes I like getting sweaty over a video game. There is a satisfaction in being quicker than someone else and out-maneuvering them in gun play that I can't get out of other game formats like sports or turn based. I can't explain the why to that to be honest. Maybe its how some people prefer to play golf over basketball. Plus my computer is for 'work'/projects mostly. So when I game in my office it's not relax mode, its business and the Chinese are paying up. FPS is just that. Relax mode is playing some bs on a handheld in bed or my recliner. RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - Sam - Aug 10, 2025 I like it because they are immersive and can be extremely competitive. Without competitive play, I would have no interest whatsoever. It's just unfortunate that I cannot afford to constantly upgrade my PC rig, so I will eventually fall behind. Take Battlefield 6 for example, my specs can barely manage it, so it might be rough to play at launch for me, unfortunately. RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - Lunorio - Aug 10, 2025 The fast pace movement and the stress is the whole thrill of the game :D RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - Roy Gary - Aug 10, 2025 I used to be Hardcore warzone player, shifted to console Val and then now rocket League. In my opinion, Rocket League is harder than any FPS game out there. A close second is GunZ The Duel RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - Tyr - Aug 10, 2025 Dopamine rush. MMORPG's got old after running private servers for years. RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - RangoWorld - Aug 11, 2025 I have observed that teenagers like FPS the most. After like becoming adults. People switch RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - Tyr - Aug 11, 2025 https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6826942/ - enhances cognitive skills, fluid intelligence and spatial awareness (Aug 11, 2025 02:04 AM)RangoWorld Wrote: I have observed that teenagers like FPS the most. People switch agreed, but most are mmorpg players from my experience which also requires different levels of executive functioning in the brain especially for multitasking etc RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - CG_G - Aug 11, 2025 Not a fan of multiplayer FPS as I get rinsed but love an SP Fps, or boomer shooter. Just satisfying to shoot things in the face sometimes :D They can be stressful, but I generally find them fun, but I play every genre anyway, so as long as I have fun, I don't mind what game it is, as long as it's good and isn't stupidly priced RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - Jamika - Aug 21, 2025 My best type , it makes me feels like as if iam playing myself, very exciting RE: Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? - DemonAsylum - Oct 1, 2025 I think there is a natural competitive nature to them (multiplayer of course) and that is definitely a big part of my interest in them. |
