I have never been a fps player because they always make me stressed out, i tend to prefer single player games. So, what is it that appeals to you about them?
Genuinely interested, why do you like fps games? |

I hear ya, I used to be so bad at COD, I just kept playing and watching my brother who is bad ass at it, I will nvr get as good as him, but I have seriously improved my skills over the years. For me it feels physical, after a COD bender my hands feel so messed up, I want to keep playing but I physically have to stop. I haven't played for over a Month and now this weekend is Battlefield 6 Beta, so I think I am in for a bruising again tomorrow after I know my bro is going to fire it up as he has it preloaded. EDIT: Playing Xbox btw...
Sometimes I like getting sweaty over a video game. There is a satisfaction in being quicker than someone else and out-maneuvering them in gun play that I can't get out of other game formats like sports or turn based. I can't explain the why to that to be honest. Maybe its how some people prefer to play golf over basketball.
Plus my computer is for 'work'/projects mostly. So when I game in my office it's not relax mode, its business and the Chinese are paying up. FPS is just that. Relax mode is playing some bs on a handheld in bed or my recliner.
I like it because they are immersive and can be extremely competitive. Without competitive play, I would have no interest whatsoever. It's just unfortunate that I cannot afford to constantly upgrade my PC rig, so I will eventually fall behind. Take Battlefield 6 for example, my specs can barely manage it, so it might be rough to play at launch for me, unfortunately.

Not a fan of multiplayer FPS as I get rinsed but love an SP Fps, or boomer shooter.
Just satisfying to shoot things in the face sometimes :D They can be stressful, but I generally find them fun, but I play every genre anyway, so as long as I have fun, I don't mind what game it is, as long as it's good and isn't stupidly priced
I think there is a natural competitive nature to them (multiplayer of course) and that is definitely a big part of my interest in them.
