Dispute Notifications - Yakless - Aug 28, 2025 My suggestion is simple in nature, but I don't know how simple it'd be in application. My suggestion is that when a user is a group leader and any user of that group gets added to Deal Disputes , the group leaders should either get a convo, a notification, or a pm so they can act quickly and either remove the user or attempt to help/de-escalate. RE: Dispute Notiifcations - Omniscient - Aug 28, 2025 Group Owners possibly but not Group Leaders. Also, not sure I approve of doing this type of notification. It is a good suggestion, would put scrutiny on the users. I support this RE: Dispute Notifications - Egregious - Aug 28, 2025 I think this is a valid suggestion. It would greatly increase visibility and enable a quicker response. RE: Dispute Notifications - Omniscient - Aug 28, 2025 Well, how many groups actually have direct policies about their group members and Deal Disputes? I think all of them have it, as per my research. No group allows its member to be involved in disputes but i don’t think it matters as scammers get closed anyways now as per Hf policies. That's why it'd just be a notification. Every time I get on HF, I check deal disputes to make sure one of my 10 members isn't in there because I didn't check once, and he was in there like 3 times. The leader(s)/owner would make a decision for the group, and then Omni would obviously have the final decision for the user's account. RE: Dispute Notifications - 7 - Sep 2, 2025 Notification is useful but being an owner and leader can become a bit much dealing with all this like we are their carers. That sounds really good because I do feel sorry for the innocent party having the deal dispute issues. So, only a notification would be best. Do you have any updates on your opinion about this? I think limiting it to group owners would be beneficial. Almost every group has a no deal dispute policy, and every time I get on, I go straight to deal disputes to make sure none of my members are scamming. Like when we report posts, wouldn't a similar solution work for group owners when a member in their group is mentioned in a specific subforum? I guess some logic on that gets a bit hairy, but unsure what the backend looks like to really know. Ideally we'd have no scammers, but I am unsure how I feel about this either, I don't like saying it's on the group owners/leaders to look, but I also don't like knowing they get notifs if someone pings them in a post in a forum because the hairy logic missed that it only needs to be in the OP or something similar. |
