Dispute Notifications

My suggestion is simple in nature, but I don't know how simple it'd be in application.

My suggestion is that when a user is a group leader and any user of that group gets added to Deal Disputes , the group leaders should either get a convo, a notification, or a pm so they can act quickly and either remove the user or attempt to help/de-escalate.

Group Owners possibly but not Group Leaders. Also, not sure I approve of doing this type of notification.

It is a good suggestion, would put scrutiny on the users. I support this

I think this is a valid suggestion. It would greatly increase visibility and enable a quicker response.

Well, how many groups actually have direct policies about their group members and Deal Disputes?

I think all of them have it, as per my research. No group allows its member to be involved in disputes but i don’t think it matters as scammers get closed anyways now as per Hf policies.

All of them.

Good idea, but it should be taken into account that some complaints are false or are resolved amicably without account closure.

That's why it'd just be a notification. Every time I get on HF, I check deal disputes to make sure one of my 10 members isn't in there because I didn't check once, and he was in there like 3 times. The leader(s)/owner would make a decision for the group, and then Omni would obviously have the final decision for the user's account.

Notification is useful but being an owner and leader can become a bit much dealing with all this like we are their carers.

That sounds really good because I do feel sorry for the innocent party having the deal dispute issues. So, only a notification would be best.

I completely agree. Having to scroll through the deal dispute section with 20+ members is a pain, but if I don't, it makes me look bad.

Do you have any updates on your opinion about this? I think limiting it to group owners would be beneficial. Almost every group has a no deal dispute policy, and every time I get on, I go straight to deal disputes to make sure none of my members are scamming.

Not a fan of this. Don't see the need.

How do pings work for staff? Like when we report posts, wouldn't a similar solution work for group owners when a member in their group is mentioned in a specific subforum? I guess some logic on that gets a bit hairy, but unsure what the backend looks like to really know.

Ideally we'd have no scammers, but I am unsure how I feel about this either, I don't like saying it's on the group owners/leaders to look, but I also don't like knowing they get notifs if someone pings them in a post in a forum because the hairy logic missed that it only needs to be in the OP or something similar.
