Sold my Ada finally - Costanza - Sep 18, 2025 With exchange fees i basically broke even after 9 months of pain. Not too happy with it and regret selling was it the wrong choice? May be looking to buy back in very soon. RE: Sold my Ada finally - Mewtwo - Sep 18, 2025 Watch it go to $10 and youll fist up the sky hahahaha RE: Sold my Ada finally - SUI-3183372 - Sep 18, 2025 You made the right call imo. Hoping for a decent re entry RE: Sold my Ada finally - Hackers - Sep 18, 2025 Let's see where it's at... haven't looked in a while. Ah, okay under $1. I should have some buys at 50 cents somewhere but nothing major I used to be really into ada/cardano and rode it from the bottom to $3+ Sold a good amount but rode it back down too. I did make some nice profits with the ups & downs though doing some more frequent trading I don't trade like that anymore though I'd have to research Cardano more to know how it's doing, but I always wanted to see it recover. Haskell is an interesting spin and Hopkinson had some pretty cool goals for Africa once upon a time, but don't think it panned out. Hopefully one day Take with a grain of salt though, I sold a lot of crypto to move into other investments. I don't follow the markets much, but I do still hold RE: Sold my Ada finally - Marvelous - Sep 18, 2025 (Sep 18, 2025 05:20 PM)Costanza Wrote: Hoping for a decent re entry ADA is garbage. Just curious, what makes it garbage? > Hoping you have a reason other than price RE: Sold my Ada finally - Braco22 - Sep 19, 2025 I'd steer away from Cardano and Charles' shenanigans. (37 million) It has no partnerships. It had no interoperability with EVM or ChainLink The price per user for this chain is insane. 50k daily active users and a 22 Billion dollar MC. That gives it a $440,000 PPU. Compared to SOL at $21k and ETH at $146k. Charles does nothing except get on YT and bitch about random events. He made his money and doesnt care about the project anymore. Charles was one of the few notable crypto developers that was not invited to the crypto summit at the Whitehouse. So the US clearly doesnt see a partnership with ADA. The project is good dont get me wrong. One of the most decentralized cryptos, good tokenomics, easy staking, etc. It just has no adoption at all. I just want to call out that I feel like Cardano always attempted to be a competitor to Ether & others, so I am not too surprised that they have remained... somewhat isolated. It obviously didn't pan out as expected. What do you think of this partnership deal? https://coincentral.com/cardano-gets-23m-boost-as-hoskinson-unveils-copper-partnership/ I heard it had some doubters, and could be a marketing spin. I noticed that Charles' response was "Midnight was designed to work within Cardano, not apart from it." which does not say that it IS within Cardano. "I designed my car to be faster than a rocket, but it moves like a snail" design != outcome, so that's 1 concern. Active user value is high, but I would want to know about total holders and what defines 'active' to figure out more. It wouldn't surprise me if a number of ADA/Cardano holders are not active. I know at least 1 person who hasn't moved ADA or used their wallet in 3 years as an example of what I mean. Ether & others will have more active users because they do have the use cases whereas ADA's primary use case is unfortunately still holding. I don't doubt he's on YT bitching lol. He always got involved in trends & current events to pump the value, or at least that was a big criticism many people had about him years ago. The White House crypto summit - not too sure what to say here. I think it's probably a mistake not to include Cardano, and it sounds like Trump originally planned to include them: Quote:Hoskinson’s name was expected on the guest list for the Friday event after President Trump said that Cardano’s $35.6 billion token, ADA, would be included in a crypto reserve on Truth Social Sunday. “A U.S. Crypto Reserve will elevate this critical industry after years of corrupt attacks by the Biden Administration, which is why my Executive Order on Digital Assets directed the Presidential Working Group to move forward on a Crypto Strategic Reserve that includes XRP, SOL, and ADA,” Trump said in the post. Take this with a grain of salt for this next part because I invested a bit more in US cryptos based on Trump's intentions & promises to help US cryptos more than others... But I agree with Charles here: Quote:“I don’t need to make a deal with Trump,” Hoskinson, 37, said. I think Trump will do more to extract value for his family & friends in the crypto space than he will do to improve the markets overall, and he may even chip away at decentralization to bring it back to US control for US-influenced/regulated exchanges & platforms. Also from the sounds of it, Trump's appointed crypto guy David Sacks may be on the way out soon because of the 130 day SGO rule (same reason Musk had to stop working in WH officially). Anyways, not really about Trump here - just pointing out that Charles not being invited to the WH is not the worst thing in the world, but also it is very strange because of what Trump had said (Cardano will be part of the official reserve) right before Charles got snubbed. I will still need to research more about ADA. Can't say I am surprised to see it below $1, but I do not want to count it out just yet. Historically all these Smart Contract alts have their peaks and never regain them. Ethereum took forever to barely nudge over it's 2021 ATH and it took 4 years. I really believe the genre is overcrowded and the market divided so much that it will be very hard to discern which one will be victorious. Probably Ethereum just for being so old and recognized but utility does not directly translate to value. Congrats for selling your ADA, do not buy in again is my advice. Put it all into Bitcoin, every nickel. RE: Sold my Ada finally - Costanza - Sep 25, 2025 Looking back now lol this was a great idea crazy. looking for the next coin to go in for this so called alt run in q4 |
