Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed details of a coordinated spear-phishing campaign dubbed PhantomCaptcha targeting organizations associated with Ukraine's war relief efforts to deliver a remote access trojan that uses a WebSocket for command-and-control (C2).
The activity, which took place on October 8, 2025, targeted individual members of the International Red Cross, Norwegian Refugee

It doesn't matter what our politics or flags are, we should respect civilian support groups.
At the very least, this is the difference between civilized society and barbarianism. We can all at the very least respect medics, civilians, POW laws, etc. Sometimes it feels like this gets lost, but if we don't have that then what humanity, or what freedom are we even fighting for?
Civilians and civilian aid groups are not valid military targets. Both RU & UA support groups should be respected. The golden rule - if we wish our enemies to respect our mothers & children, we must also respect our enemy's families.

Targeting war relief is inhumane and just straight up wrong.

Low blow targeting aid groups. PhantomCaptcha shows how threat actors mix social engineering with legit tools like Zoom to slip past defenses. Human trust is still the easiest exploit.
