Data engineering vs Cybersecurity vs AI - Artemisss - Nov 15, 2025 I’m stuck choosing between Data Engineering, AI, or Cybersecurity. All of them look promising, but I don’t know which one has the best long-term outlook. If you had to focus on just one today, which would you pick and why? Would love to hear opinions from people already working in these fields. RE: Data engineering vs Cybersecurity vs AI - Bastille - Nov 15, 2025 For long-term careers I would bet on AI. I'm afraid that within the next 5 years AI will replace a lot of cybersecurity workers. You'll always need real workers, but definitely less than before. I'm into cybersecurity, but I'm struggling to get a job, and I've heard it's the same all around the world. The market is quite bad right now. I don't think I could do a job not related to IT, I love to spend time on computers, solving problems, learning new things. Doing something else would be boring to me I think. That also would be time wasted not learning new things, and there are so many things to learn. RE: Data engineering vs Cybersecurity vs AI - RangoWorld - Nov 19, 2025 I think with AI you will have more opportunities. Of course this could change because things move so fast in tech world. But among these, AI sounds the safest choice RE: Data engineering vs Cybersecurity vs AI - RITARI - Nov 19, 2025 (Nov 18, 2025 11:51 PM)Bastille Wrote: I don't think I could do a job not related to IT, I love to spend time on computers, solving problems, learning new things. The IT job market is oversaturated right now, so it's almost impossible to find a job. |
