Because some services on Tor are contactable only via email. Ans mail2tor was one of the last remaining email services on tor. And it was free as well. Squirrel was great because if its simplicity and no invites. Prob didn't have much for space but i don't use email to store things/backup stuff so i didn't mind. RE: SquirrelMail (Mail2Tor) Officially Done - Edmond Dantes - May 15, 2026 Are you able to view your mails? (incase you had something valuable) RE: SquirrelMail (Mail2Tor) Officially Done - Pr0m3th3us - May 15, 2026 (May 15, 2026 11:07 AM)Edmond Dantes Wrote: Are you able to view your mails? Might want to save stuff before you cant even log in anymore, which will def happen. Oh, I thought it was more like a privacy type thing like if you had to communicate when doing illegal shit like hacking just in case you're communicating with a fed agent they couldn't figure out who they're exactly talking too and it's a good alternative to places like gmail. RE: SquirrelMail (Mail2Tor) Officially Done - DAL-SHA - May 16, 2026 Hmmmm , I considered using it for something specific a while ago but then I didn't because of something Happened IRL that solved the issue ! Well it could be used for that too. And it probably was. But this was just the basic of the basic when it came to actual email services. There was a lot of problems with the service as well, when it was working. The main issue i ran into was some sites wont let you use that email service to register an account with. Otherwise it was fine for me. |
