Every generation has things that people feel like they're supposed to enjoy.
Networking events.
Small talk.
Team building.
Nightclubs.
Watching sports.
Expensive restaurants.
Luxury brands.
What's something you think people mostly pretend to enjoy because everyone else says they should?

Society tries to brainwash adults that the only way to have "fun" as an adult is to have alcohol. Personally I think it is stupid and immensely destructive. So many alkies on the road drunk driving and killing and wounding people. The only good part is that it helps some people become incredibly wealthy.
To get back to the premise of your thread I was thinking about people sitting around glumly in a pub or bar pretending that it is fun.

Sitting at a computer screen all day, Family day, Christmas, Easter and birthdays.
I would say opposite to that is Funerals... much more fun when there not supposed to be .. oh the melodrama of some people. Watching people go and perform religious things, then getting drunk and arguing about the will.

After reading your remark about funerals being "much more fun when they aren't supposed to be", I subconsciousy misread the word "funerals" as fun-erals. Fun-erals, believe it or not.

You can make dollars while you sleep on places like Amazon, Draft2Digital and YouTube.
We are told so much that TRAVEL is the big fun thing everyone wants to do. But could get very stressful and then there's also the worry about how much it actually costs.
