HOW TO BLOCK ANTIVIRUS & OPERA BROWSER FROM REINSTALL ? - chhurbura - Aug 21, 2026 Hi everyone, I’m looking for some help from someone with good technical knowledge of Windows. Some of the free applications I install come bundled with third-party software. In my case, they are installing Avast Antivirus, 360 Total Security, and Opera Browser. I have already uninstalled these programs, but after some time, they seem to get installed again, or another installer tries to install them. I already use Windows Defender and Google Chrome, so I don’t need Avast, 360 Total Security, or Opera. Is there a way to completely block these three programs from being installed or reinstalled on my computer? For example: Is there any Windows setting or software that can block them? Is there a Registry key or Group Policy setting that can prevent their installation? Can I block their installers or prevent them from running? Is there a recommended way to stop bundled software from being installed without affecting other legitimate applications? I would really appreciate any advice from someone who has dealt with this before. Thank you! Hello, what is the program that installed third part software ? During the installation you should be able to uncheck things like "Install Anti-virus..." but you often need to go through menus like "Advanced Installation" or "Options" during the installation. That said, if you uninstalled everything (as well as the main software that install the others), and the other software continue to reinstall themselves without installation from you, then there is probably something like a scheduled task configured by the main software or some registry keys. Could you check these ? And provide the software name / source ? If you're struggling I recommend you to follow the following steps and share me the report (don't post it publicly, share via mp or convo because the report contains folder name and if you named your username with your real name it will be known) : Quote:Please do the following if you want me to check your device.
