Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some help from someone with good technical knowledge of Windows.
Some of the free applications I install come bundled with third-party software. In my case, they are installing Avast Antivirus, 360 Total Security, and Opera Browser.
I have already uninstalled these programs, but after some time, they seem to get installed again, or another installer tries to install them.
I already use Windows Defender and Google Chrome, so I don’t need Avast, 360 Total Security, or Opera.
Is there a way to completely block these three programs from being installed or reinstalled on my computer?
For example:
Is there any Windows setting or software that can block them?
Is there a Registry key or Group Policy setting that can prevent their installation?
Can I block their installers or prevent them from running?
Is there a recommended way to stop bundled software from being installed without affecting other legitimate applications?
I would really appreciate any advice from someone who has dealt with this before.
Thank you!
