Would You Change Jobs for a Slightly Higher Salary? - Michael - Oct 13, 2026 This is one question I've been wondering a lot. I like the flexibility at one job, but changing jobs might change this and allow me to work less hybrid. RE: Would You Change Jobs for a Slightly Higher Salary? - Fish - Oct 13, 2026 slightly higher? not sure. if its around 10k then id say its worth it RE: Would You Change Jobs for a Slightly Higher Salary? - Michael - Oct 13, 2026 (Oct 13, 2026 12:46 AM)Fish Wrote: slightly higher? not sure. if its around 10k then id say its worth it Maybe a couple hundred more, depending on the situation of course. If its a gig job, then I back that. But if this is salary, there would hopefully be other things changing, besides the $ RE: Would You Change Jobs for a Slightly Higher Salary? - Michael - Oct 13, 2026 (Oct 13, 2026 12:49 AM)Fish Wrote: if its only $200 more, is it worth it? Yes of course. But when doing that, you'll get more headaches as well, as you are responsible for more stuff haha. But that begs the question - would you rather a high stress high pay job, or low stress low pay job? Fair point, if you burn out then its not fun. I guess you need a balance. RE: Would You Change Jobs for a Slightly Higher Salary? - Sift - Oct 13, 2026 If it paid that much it wasn’t really a choice might take a job. RE: Would You Change Jobs for a Slightly Higher Salary? - Mix - Oct 13, 2026 Depends on the role and how you are treated. if your currently place is treating you like shit then hell yes. But if its only for a small increase then no as you then have to put more work in to start fresh and rebuild. Got to find balance indeed. (Oct 13, 2026 02:25 AM)Sift Wrote: If it paid that much it wasn’t really a choice might take a job. It's a comparison to a current and new job.
