Make an account on a pool (eg. Doc's or Xen's) and create a worker. Put in the premade config from Doc's thread into a batch file in the same directory as your miner (CGMiner = AMD and CUDAMiner = Nvidia), and edit the config to match your worker and account settings. Run the batch file. * - Esme - Apr 7, 2014 Q: I am allowed to mirror the official Omnicoin wallet on my personal website to give out to friends? * - Omniscient - Apr 7, 2014 (Apr 7, 2014 02:35 PM)dauh Wrote: Q: I am allowed to mirror the official Omnicoin wallet on my personal website to give out to friends? We prefer you do not because we want to minimize the possibility of those who might infect the download. It's why I posted the MD5 and put an official download mirror. We don't need more. I can probably setup 5 of them if we needed. * - HarveySpecter - Apr 7, 2014 Cant wait until the Mac version of the wallet comes out. :) * - Cubs - Apr 7, 2014 Wallet won't sync for me. Is there an online wallet? Is there a config file I need to make or something? Using Windows * - Evation - Apr 7, 2014 I'm already mining, if anyone needs help setting it up PM me. * - Cubs - Apr 7, 2014 Hello? Can anyone help me or is this going to be a disaster like the last time we tried OmniCoin * - Magicmann - Apr 7, 2014 (Apr 7, 2014 07:50 PM)Cubs Wrote: Wallet won't sync for me. Yes I already have done that. * - Moon Rock - Apr 7, 2014 Never mined before, but I'm wondering if you have to mine in a pool or can you mine solo? * - Robust - Apr 8, 2014 Quote:sudo apt-get install qt4-dev-tools libqt4-dev libqt4-core libqt4-gui that's a joke... just do... sudo apt-get install libboost1.4.8-all-dev libqrencode-dev libdb++-dev libdb4.8-dev libssl-dev build-essential qt4-dev-tools libqt4-dev libqt4-core libqt4-gui btw, i'm sure most of those are included in build essential anyways other than libqt "g++: error: /home/main/Omnicoin/src/leveldb/libleveldb.a: No such file or directory g++: error: /home/main/Omnicoin/src/leveldb/libmemenv.a: No such file or directory" * - Orgy - Apr 8, 2014 (Apr 8, 2014 01:30 AM)Robust Wrote: "g++: error: /home/main/Omnicoin/src/leveldb/libleveldb.a: No such file or directory You need to cd src/leveldb and then make * - Obli - Apr 8, 2014 As long as I backup my wallet, I can access it from anywhere if I do have the OMC client, correct? Yup. Specifically, you really only need the private key. Memorize your private keys and you're golden * - Doctor Blue - Apr 8, 2014 I don't see any logical reason to disable UPNP support as an end user? If I were to guess I think exactly nobody has forwarded the peer exchange port, so if nobody has UPNP support enabled in the client people are going to have a hard time synchronizing with the network. It's much better to explain how to compile miniupnp instead. |
