RE: Do you think introverts are a product of genetical and technological evolution? - VIXV - Jan 20, 2020 I'm an introvert. I just enjoy my own company more than other people's company. RE: Do you think introverts are a product of genetical and technological evolution? - Cooligan - Jan 20, 2020 I 100% believe this generation has way more introverted people than previous generations, and it's all because of social media/technology in general. We're able to stay indoors for days on end if we choose and can get everything delivered to us, whereas even 10 years ago that wasn't the case, still popular but not as much. As time goes on this will only get worse I'm afraid, if this trend continues that is. Born/grown/created the way it was meant to the mind already has everything decided for you. There are 4 different types of introverts 1. social 2. thinking 3. anxious 4. restrained. Dopamine and acetylcholine are the deciding factors to a persons way of living and socializing. You blame technology and humans loss of morals and behavior when in fact it's uncontrollable and already a design from natural dna. It's a chemical in the brain that gives us the feeling of happiness and enjoyment either in the company of others or solitude. Yes trauma and life's battles with jobs, stress, and other humans treatment of us can change our living habits and lifestyles. However your mind is set one way you can choose to change how your able to receive acetylcholine and dophamine but it takes time research and motivation to change from being an extrovert or introvert. There's nothing wrong with either. Sometimes it can be a sign of a deeper illness, such as a social phobia which also connects to anxiety which is not always linked to any bad experiences or childhood trauma. The mind is the deciding factor on who you will become in life and how you react and act with everything. You certainly could nurture a "born introvert" into being extroverted. Perhaps not every "born introvert", but the human mind is usually much more flexible than you make it sound. RE: Do you think introverts are a product of genetical and technological evolution? - Muggsy - Jan 21, 2020 I am in-between both of them I seriously enjoy time alone and time to think to myself. But, I strive in social environments as well. I do base my views and opinions off of the nature aspect of psychology, you're not wrong but I think you misunderstood the simplicity of the facts of natural instinct. Our bodies and minds can be flexible yes, however we always find ourselves doing what instinct has us do. The same question could be asked when it comes to fear, is it a taught trait or was it already passed down in your mind through the chemicals in your brain somehow? RE: Do you think introverts are a product of genetical and technological evolution? - Prototype - Jan 21, 2020 I think social medias fucked us all over lets be honest here. We're not talking to each other in person like we could be and alot of us would rather sit at home playing video games then going out and partying or drinking RE: Do you think introverts are a product of genetical and technological evolution? - SIM-4033767 - Jan 23, 2020 (Jan 20, 2020 01:41 AM)IgnobleEntity Wrote: If you think about it, people were always social creatures and if you stopped people from socializing then they would feel like they're in jail. But something changed recently and there's a lot of introverts now. I mean they were already a thing since long time, but it wasn't many of them at first, overall percent of population that are introverts kept increasing and now its quite high. Therefore I think you could say that introverts are product of genetical and technological evolution. Poeple are getting less and less dependant on eachother so they are more comfortable being alone. |
