Does Windows 8.1 provide more security compared to Windows 8? It says it has the built-in Windows Defender but if you installed an AV program on your own wouldn't it make no difference? Also the addition of start button is meaningless if you already installed Classic Shell.
I just wanna know if it's worth upgrading to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8.

The answer is yes, as that is one of the main reasons Microsoft has invented updates. You don't notice a new feature after every update you get from Windows Updates. Ever though about that? 😎

Yes it does windows 8.1 should have actually been called 9 it changed a lot.

No. It merely fixes bugs that were in the previous version and removes the shit that annoyed you in the previous version.
