Can anyone tell me how to change/ spoof my mac address? - Vladalice - Aug 19, 2017 I have followed semi-recent guides and none of them seem to work. I need this so i can access some game servers i was previously kicked off of due to the ban of my mac address. Any pointers are much appreciated. I am on a lenovo y-50 laptop with windows 10. Using a router for my internet. * - Scy7e - Aug 20, 2017 If they wanted you to come back, they wouldn't have banned you. Amazing. His question was way too vague to give any kind of technical answer. We don't even know which device he's talking about. His modem? Motherboard's integrated NIC? A wifi adapter? Assuming it's the MB NIC, we still don't know his OS or the version of the OS. He also stated he has tried several guides of which none worked. Why not? It's not rocket science, it's a less-than-a-minute job so I don't see how he could fail at that. He should've said what he tried to do, why or how it didn't work and then we could've helped him. * - 2073436 - Aug 20, 2017 http://lizardsystems.com/change-mac-address this may work * - /wrists - Aug 20, 2017 I mainly work with kali. >ifconfig eth0 down >macchanger -a >ifconfig etho0 up * - Vladalice - Aug 20, 2017 (Aug 20, 2017 12:55 PM)Scy7e Wrote: His question was way too vague to give any kind of technical answer. It's frustrating to read responses like this...why bother posting? @OP keep us updated if you figure it out. I am unsure how to do so, but I will update this post if I figure anything new out. * - mstrmnn - Sep 8, 2017 (Aug 20, 2017 12:44 PM).Lowkey Wrote: And not a single useful thing was posted. Amazing. @Scy7e is the only one here who gave a helpful answer. No one of you said what is obvious: Spoofing a MAC address is not the solution here. Not the MAC address is banned. The server isn't able to get the MAC address. The server can blacklist IP adresses, the server can recognize cookies, the server can use browser fingerprinting. Forget about the MAC address.
