Question about private message restrictions - Retrogue - Jul 11, 2018
Hi. So another user sent me private messages and we were talking back and forth without an issue and suddenly I got a message telling me I needed to make 25 posts before I can send private messages. I am sure I'll have 25 posts on HackForums soon enough however the question I have is why did it work before?

I remember seeing a post by Omni saying it was intentional (bug?) that he has no plans on fixing. You're fine.

Just found it weird I'm not able to send any more replies to this year. Soon the restriction will not be an issue at all since my post count rises as I interact with this community. Thank you for clarifying :)

Haha - I'm getting there that's for sure. There are a lot of fun conversations and although I've only been a member for a few days I have already met so many smart people on this forum. I'm looking forward to spending more time on this forum :)

He sent you a PM first and you were able to reply. It's a bug but also one I allow since it probably comes in handy for sellers. It does prevent new members from spamming in PMs still so the restriction serves the intended purpose.

A good bug, such a rarity. Logically, it makes sense the way it is.

Not that this 25 post requirement affects me, but I think it's a nice feature.
