CS: GO: Valves FPS breaks record for active players - SIM-2848601 - Feb 10, 2020 Eight years after its release, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive continues to animate its community. A new record, established in 2016, has been broken: that of daily active players. Here is how this peak of activity is explained. Dead game? Not really. Since its arrival in free-to-play in December 2018, the game has not been empty, until it broke a new record last Sunday. This decision already seems to be bearing fruit, despite a significant growl from the most loyal players who bought the game when it first started. In fact, CS: GO had been bombarded with negative comments on Steam when it went free. On the other hand, according to the Dot Esports media, the average active player base has grown by 200,000 people since this major change. But that is not the only explanation: the consequent update of Operation Shattered Web has also marked a renewed interest in the legendary shooter. ![]() Launched last November, the operation had been awaited for several years by the community. It has brought cosmetics and new missions, as well as changes in balancing and prices on certain weapons. Its success was there: upon its release, the number of monthly active players gradually increased until breaking a record with more than 900,000 connections recorded in one day on Steam. The previous record was in April 2016. A sign that CS: GO is off to a good start for its eighth year! I met tons of people in many games who were cheating, most who admitted to it because they saw I was cheating too. I used multiple free cheats, including one from my friend who coded a cheat within days. Dollar store anti-cheat, dollar store-player base. I mostly dislike CS:GO because I always get spam invites for it by people who don't even send a message, they just invite and hope their friends want to play with them. Have you played matchmaking lately? Matchmaking is a joke, even with a high trust factor. 😎 RE: CS: GO: Valves FPS breaks record for active players - JW1337 - Feb 11, 2020 (Feb 11, 2020 12:23 PM)watthefux Wrote: Delusional? He’s banned now and before that’s it been another couple of months. Trust factor does work most of the time.
