The first few episodes don't accurately describe the show. Madoka Magica changes completely after about episode 3 or so, and the show gets super dark. What you have to know about Madoka though is that the show is a deconstruction of the magical girl genre. If you've never seen other shows about magical girls, I'd hold off so you can fully enjoy it and understand it.

First 3 episodes bored the fuck out of me (watched dub), stopped watching, then like a month later i picked it up and finished it all in sub and really enjoyed, cause i realized it's one of those series that's just alot better in subs.

Not sure why. Plus i tend to not like alot of shows dubs when it involves alot of female char's, only like dubs with mainly males, female voices are usually high pitched and annoying often in anime. Dubbed wise.

Anyways its actually a really good series and pretty dark

Madoka Magica is of those anime that will blow your mind, but not just with the first episodes, you gotta watch it till the very end, besides is just like 12 eps long, you'll finish that easily.

if you die not watching it, you might regret not taking those 5 hours to watch it.

I mean, its good. Its a magical girl tragedy, almost unheard of outside of this show.

But you shouldnt be convinced, if what youve heard to this point from everyone isnt enough then nothing is. Most people that watch the show recommend it so either watch it or dont, just like every other show.
