I searched https://hackforums.net/bans.php for his user and found nothing and his profile says he is not banned.

I've pm'd Omoi on Skype so he is able to post this thread on my behalf as I am currently unable to.

I've woken up and visited HF to be greeted by a message that says:
"I'm sorry, but you are banned. You may not post, read threads, or access the forum. Please contact your forum administrator should you have any questions."

I was unable to do anything or click anywhere else on the site to contact the administrators, therefore this is the reason why I have asked Omoi to post this for me.

I have not done anything wrong as far as I know, and I've sent my HF profile link to Omoi just to confirm I have not been banned.

He has confirmed that I have not been banned and that I am not on the ban list.

May I ask if this is a bug on my behalf that it is telling me that I am banned?

And how may I solve this?

I didn't want to create another account as it'd count towards being a multi, and that's too much hassle to deal with. Especially with the mixed readings TS gives when you use portable hotspot.

He never self ban.

I see. The problem is not with the ban expiry system, then. I believe he is accessing the site through an IP address that has been banned (either by CloudFlare or some other security measure). Is he using a VPN or proxy? If so, tell him to use his home connection and see whether that resolves the issue. If not, he'll have to use the Contact Form as per HF Site Access Problems and Loading Errors document:

How do I get unblocked?
If by chance you get blocked, you should connect from a proxy, and use the contact form. Select "Firewalled", and enter your regular IP along with your username. It will be reviewed within 24 hours. The firewall is flushed periodically.

This is surly weird issue, unless it's some type of server sided ban or Cloudflare which it seems to not be, I've never seen this before.

Hello, I'm here now. It's suddenly working. As far as I know, nothing really would have caused it except maybe my IP. However, my IP should have had any issue as I connected through normal methods.
