I cant PM so hopefully you see this. I dont know where to start, but the reason Ive started this journey is because I want to be able to assess and fix any network problems I might have. One of my biggest pet peeves is lag for seemingly no reason. So, I am not a complete noob, but I am by no means an expert. Im the go to go for anything computers in my circle of friends and family, but thats not saying much. Im currently taking Cisco 100-105 ICND1 Interconnecting course online just to pick up some essentials, but I am starting to get lost. I just dont know where to begin as far as figuring out why I get random lag spikes while gaming or just cant connect even though all my ports are open, I have a 100MB connection, etc. I know I rambled a bit I guess I dont really know what Im trying to ask. Hopefully you can at least steer me in the right direction. I am going to look through some of the links you posted as well, but just wondering if maybe you have any suggestions specific for me. Thanks for everything you do.
