The 13th and final episode of Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Gaiden (Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story) ended with announcement on Sunday that a second season for the anime series is in production.

Not looking forward to this second season at all. The first season was so boring. I'm not sure what it is, but I just can't seem to enjoy certain stuff from Shaft. Anyone else have a similar issue?

So many people enjoy the Monogatari series, but I just can't seem to get into that either.

Anyway, I didn't create a discussion thread for the first season because I thought it was awful. It was so boring and I felt like banging my head on my desk every Saturday.

What are your views on this anime getting a second season? And no, the main characters (other than two -- I won't spoil) from the original Madoka Magica are in this.

Here are some comments from MAL.

As you can see it's a mixture of both. As I said before, the second season is going to be such a bore.

I tried to like/watch this new season, but I lost interest after like the second episode. The first season was definitely better, I still love the animation style, but I don't know what it was about the first season that got me hooked.

This is just a spin-off of the original series.

I can agree with you that the original series, if we are referring to, Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, was much better.
