Hello everyone!
I hope this is allowed to post. It's not black hat/illegal.
So, I was assisting a company with finding information at a couple of websites to help them build an information database with products and locations.
Every page have a unique id BUT, it's not in the URL field. In the URL field, there seems to be a MD5 hash instead of the id. But every div got the id as id.
For example:
website.com/product/3fcd2a6f96462869e6d210fe890c287f.html
And in the inspection tool, we see an id in the <div> tags id.
I'm suspecting that they pass that id to a handler. The handler then checks the passed id compared to a chained hash tool which then checks if it's valid and if it's valid, it displays the product with that id.
As stated above, there's a $10 finders fee on this. I'm not sure if it's actually MD5 or if it's some random code they generate. But it sure would mean a lot of someone who's better than me at this gave it a try. Below, there's 5 examples with their matching ID's. If you think you solved it, PM me the info and I'll check if it's valid.
Thanks!
