I was wondering about the necessary precautions and equipment to keep wildlife such as deers, raccoons, and possibly bears away from your house and backyard.

I had just recently moved states and was wondering so I can prepare for wildlife encounters, So far I've been in this new city for 2 days it's pretty chill (Oregon btw) it's hella cold but the people are nice.

Most said there's deer here and there that pass through the neighborhood and all said I should re enforce the backyard fences.

Any tips/advice will be appreciated thanks 👍

Take a walking piss around the perimeter of your yard every few evenings. That'll let them know to stay clear.

Don't animal's do that in the wild to make territory clear to other predators or curious ones

Yep, and deer will usually steer clear of human scents. A lot of people also sprinkle human hair around their gardens etc.. I don't know that I would go that far.

I knew about the piss thing but didn't know about the human hair, that's wild that would work... but it makes sense lol.
