So for example, people say that using Python for web exploitation or web fuzzing is unneccessary because I can just use tools for that. Where is it a good idea to use Python for hacking and where is it unnecessary?

Just give a brief overview of the different areas of hacking where Python is beneficial and where it is a waste of time to automate with Python. Also, please explain why.

Those tools you speak of are often written in Python. Fuzzing by definition is automated. I suppose you're referring to scripts that run other scripts or applications.

Python is great for automation and crawling etc, can name a couple of recent scores people I know have made using crawlers and some social engineering. but yeah def for scraping/crawling and automation.
