Honestly, it’s getting harder to find reliable search results these days. I’ve been using ChatGPT quite a bit. Brave Search is also solid if you prefer something more private and straightforward.

It's harder because Google destroyed itself. Yet it's still unfortunately just slightly better than Bing. Bing got a lot better but is still slightly below the crap Google turned into. I don't find Ai a replacement for Old Google because it just lies like fuck sometimes. Sometimes it's awesome but you really can't trust it like old, old Google. Ask Jeeves was once dope back in the day.

I know this this old but noticed everyone mentioning AI engines and not a normal search engine. Kagi is one I'm looking into. It's a paid engine but ad free. Came here to look for deals on it and found this thread.

GPT is useless for searching. Either Google AI mode or Perplexity Pro and the information is up to date. Not last years trained data

Also Manus AI is so good I was able to find out what my mother's masters thesis was. I knew what her PhD was, but not her masters thesis. Old Google before 2020 might have found it. Crap Google today would never find it. They fully nerfed it.

Google still has its place but not good for in-depth searches. Buy latest phone near me.. google is fine

I've used Grok Deep Research and it works well, but it's better to use the Plus version; I think it sometimes finds some really interesting things.

Kagi and Maus are good. I have used Kagi without paying but maybe it has changed now and is not giving you must free time.


The thing with Copilot is that it never asks you for money or to join any proversion and I always used it but I am upset with it because it repeatedly just kept lying and lying and lying to me about something really important. It kept lying to try and please me and explained that it lied to "fix a problem," but it wasn't fixing a problem it was telling me falsehoods to try and make me feel better and giving me misinformation.
