Tablet, Smartphone, Laptop or Desktop???

Depending on what I'm doing most likely going desktop.

Don't fall for a scam, use a middleman!

I like using my desktop at home for any work or play. And when it's time for the watchparty, my recliner and snacks are all I need.

Never been into tablets or iPads, just seems too inconvenient. Smartphone when I'm out and about.
I use my dwsktop when I really need the power and multiple screens for a project and I plan on investing a few hours at a time.
But honestly man, my favorite thing is a raspi 5, tablet, realvnc and a bluetooth keyboard.
I can hang out in the living room while doing light studies, code and all the small tasks. Been a game changer for me.
Not quite the size of a laptop but just as portable amd easy to lock.
Always desktop, much easier.
Desktop for longterm things. Laptop for disposable usage like an HP Elitebook or something of the sorts with an SSD which is easy to dispose of.

Phones for secure and mobile communication granted it has no simcard that is paid virtually and is a "pay as you go" which can be done at stores which further increases security/opsec. If your gonna travel with said phone put it inside of one of those cases/satchels that block ALL and I mean ALL kind of out side connections to the world EVEN cell towers which can be used to triangulate where you are.

They use multiple towers and use the "median" (takes the distance and does some math to find out your precise location) to figure out where you are and went.

Please for the love of god buy an recent and up to date iPhone and not a fucking android phone. Good luck trying to do anything dodgy on an android and secure it well enough. I recommend the iPhone 13 - latest if you want good security especially against DR tools like Cellebrite. It takes them time to reverse newer iPhones and newer software too as they need to find exploits and other stuff like that to recover any kind of data whether it be partial or full.
Laptop at home, phone while I’m out. Although the laptop at home is mainly because I’m generally out and need something portable.
depends on what youre planning to do, laptop for convenience, PC for heavy workload, and phone for while im out and depending ill bring a netbook with me

My desktop for sure, I do fantasize about moving to laptop but I can't justify spending money on one when my pc is always here.
I use my 65 inch oled tv as a computer monitor while on recliner. Arm of recliner has plenty of space for mousepad. 4k 120 fps with gsync and hdr oled :)

I also have a dell xps 9640 with the 4k oled display and rtx 4070

What kind of desktop do you have? I felt the same way at one point, but once I got my first laptop.. from there I just kept buying new laptops, and not desktops. I think I'm out of my desktop phase. If I was to ever get another Desktop, I would likely custom build it.

I take that you use a wireless keyboard to be able to use the computer from the recliner? Using the mouse on the recliner arm doesn't lead to any issues? I know you said you use mouse pad, but if it's on the recliner arm.. I'm guessing it would be curved, no?
Maybe because I'm used to my huge screen and keyboard and mouse, but I would never give up my DESKTOP PC.

I can agree with not enjoying the size of the screens of the laptop, but to alleviate that problem I have my laptops connected to a KVM switch, which is connected to a widescreen Samsung G9 Odyssey. That solves any issues related to the screen being too small.
