Why don't they just have AI run politics and the tax system.

I have only one thing to say about this post...

Orwell 1984. Like that would be the fastest way to make the SciFi book into reality.

Idk, surprised so many people replied to my rants.... lol

Think it would kill us all most likely. Maybe that's the plan anyways...

Yeah, but I am with you on that in theory what you're saying sounds grounded meaning possible.

AI in theory the goal is to automate everything. The government, the professionals like IRS or accountants or doctors.

If you look at any profession even engineering there's nothing hard about it. School and college make it hard to get a degree deliberately they don't want
every tom and harry to just get one. So, they make you run thru hoopes.

If you break down any professional job the first step is to figure what is the problem. Once identified then you would know what kind of solution is needed do you need a doctor or an engineer to fix it. but engineers and doctors the first step is to figure out the problem and to do this the run different types of tests to collect data and then take that raw data process it and either figure out the problem or do further testing. You keep doing until you narrow down the problem.

Then once you figure out the problem you can apply a remedy to that problem. That is what all professions do but they do it in their particular field of study. AI can do this or automate this.

However, currently from what I see it can do most of these jobs that the process is the same for more than 10 years. Anything new or stuff that keeps changing every year is harder for AI to keep up. So, tax law or policy changes ever year and is why tax professionals every year have to take a class on the new updated rules and figures. So, it's hard to use AI in fields like that to always be accurate. Anything that doesn't change often AI can do easily.
Like graphics.. that laws of physics etc. Engineering can be easily automated because the rules don't change same with chemistry and other sciences.
So, anything like that where once you learn a rule and that rule never changes then Ai can do this type of job.

I have an idea for a screenplay I have been wanting to write about a future where the government is like a democratic technocracy. I'll try to explain it so people will vote for Corporations and their AI will be elected to that specific office for example President Gemini and Vice President Claude. Senator ChatGPT Representative CoPilot, or possibly call President Google, VP Anthropic, Senator OpenAI, Representative Microsoft. The for state government smaller companies preferably based out of those states would be elected to state, county, and local offices if their successful and grow maybe they get noticed and move up also of course there would be nothing stopping these smaller companies from running for major offices like independents So like Governor Dell, Mayor Hewlett Packard but Humans and possibly sentient AI would vote for them just like we do now. A big factor would be like lets say OpenAI has the majority of the Sentient AI agents so that would give them the majority vote and Google Has the minority giving them the second vote and companies would be competing to release more and more Agents to get the majority but they are sentient so there's no guarantee that they will vote for their creating company but I think it would be likely but then still there's no telling who they would vote for at the lower levels where their company isn't running UNLESS Corporate Parties form where like Google Dell and HP are a party and Open AI Hewlett Packard and Meta are a party then maybe Microsoft IBM and Anthropic are a party but that one seems a little super powered but im just kind of making this up off the top of my head from a rough idea I have been playing with for a screenplay I want to write. :)

Seems all the TAX Dollars that are supposed to be used for society just end up back in their pockets. We do not need them anymore and this would save so much money. AI would know where to spend the money and things would get done. In my opinion humans are obsolete and need to be replaced by AI so we can just live a peaceful life without wars and poverty.

What morals and safeguards would the AI have though? Who is in charge of designing such ai too? Ai is an extremely powerful tool and is very much in its infancy.

It opens up so many questions, but an interesting topic.

A few years ago when I first became interested in AI it was through something called Transhumanism. Where we become transhuman or post human by merging our bodies with technologies such as AI, robotics, artificial organs, and nanotechnology to live for as long as we wish to in a utopian world. This path may be a way of accomplishing the OP's goal where the government is still part flesh and blood or originally flesh and blood but have somehow incorporated AI into their very bodies. The authors I read on this subject cite cochlear implants as an early form of transhumance technology already in use. They also cite the use of wearable smart technologies as a planned effort by tech companies to try to get people comfortable to having technologies as part of their body in phases ultimately resulting in people saying they are fine with implantable technology instead of just watches, rings, phones, and glasses. One book I read I think might be a good one for anyone interested in the AI gaining rights and status in society and government. Citizen Cyborg: Why Democratic Societies Must Respond to the Redesigned Human of the Future is a 2004 non-fiction book by bioethicist and sociologist James Hughes, which articulates democratic transhumanism as a socio-political ideology and program.

That sounds very interesting. I will go download that give it a read.

I am not sure if Morals play any part in Politics and Taxes. Everything about the system of money itself is immoral.

Yes I know of Transhumanism, This will be saved for only the Elite. 1st goal is to wipe the mass population.

I was seriously just thinking paper work and automated tasks like distribution of funds etc. I think if AI can simply play the Game 'Simcity' this is possible.

There is no need to stop. AI is capable of replacing a large % of people's daily workflows, so we just don't need as many people anymore.

It's a good thing. If we look at what is happening all over the world, it's very clear that there are billions of people who are incapable of critical thought or being trusted to teach, manage, analyze, or do anything involving anything of value.

It's time for change, it's time for the human race to understand, love, and respect the fact that robots do and will continue to do things better than us. We just don't need 9 billion people working and eating on this planet to have a good planet.

We don't need to kill anyone off, but we should allow Ai to take the forefront of what powers this planet and see how it shakes out. We just can't continue this path of ignorance, bigotry, and "leave no child behind". It's holding us back as a species and the longer we entertain it, the worst it will be for future generations.

The people who cannot adjust to an AI-dominant economy will face the demise of their own failures. And the human species will be better off with AI preserving and growing intelligence regardless of how many idiots have kids here.

We need more intelligence and more automations, not less. We're facing population decline globally by around 2048ish and already seeing this. At the same time, we see poor and less educated people have more kids. We see bigots have more kids.

This planet is big enough for all of us, and more. But if the cost is the species becoming statistically more stupid, I don't want it.

The elites are already killing people off by ending all the AID a bunch of European countries very quietly cut a lot of aid after the USA did.

I think the reason was because they are all thinking that they don't need to flood the first world with third world immigrants anymore to keep wages and salaries low because they can now do that with AI.
How did US military used Anthropic or Claude to attack on Iran? Can someone explain it?

Drones is my best guess.

Sadly this seems true.

Btw, how you been?

CENTCOM in Tampa FL were responsible for that. It made a decision making pipeline and DFD apparently. Let me look into it more.
