Hacking a Windows 8.1 account/browser passwords

Hi guys!

I really need your help. I flashed my hard drive so I lost basically everything on my laptop. Tried to plug in my old laptop to at least retrieve some of my chrome/firefox passwords that were stored there because I really need them and I don't remember all of them (I have like 50 different passwords).

Well I can't log into my old Windows 8.1 laptop because I don't remember which password I used to log into it. I managed to log into the administrator session but I cannot reset my session's password because it was something like a microsoft account, not a local one. Linked to a gmail address I haven't used in years.

So my request is: is there any way for me to reset the session password or at least to hack into my chrome/firefox and whatnot passwords?

Thanx a lot for your help!
Up! If there's anyone willing to help.
For getting into your laptop try resetting your password.

For browser passwords, if you made an account in browser you can just log in from another device and all your saved passwords will be there
Depends if your gmail is synced then the passwords should be on the account the hard drive doesn't matter
You can install a remote admin tool on your own workstation to easily recover your browser passwords. Good luck, I know the feeling.
