Before asking AI to generate code, spend 10 minutes writing:

Goal
Constraints
Tech stack
Folder structure
Acceptance criteria

You'll often save hours of debugging.

AI isn't replacing software architecture.

It's rewarding people who think like architects.

I have alot of AI experience and I disagreem you can plan and architecture and if you actually use a strong engine you should in fact not write anything itself, if you do a strong documentation and strong mind, as in proper md and know how to write them, now THAT will save you hours and days of debugging when the AI knows from scratch what it wants and you can decide fully within that planning, but you let it decide, not build something you have to keep teaching the AI,

Just my opinion, archtecture before AI was poor, now its elite.

I second this, if your AI agent has proper .MD file with everything you do or want to do documented then all you gotta do is talk it out with the agent and it'll do the magic.

I think half the people still don't know shit about this, they end up yapping to AI and then end up abandoning their project because they thing AI will do everything for them without a proper hand-book.

I think rest of the half is having a clean control of your files, proper backups, because when you go this route you need to have version control and be very tidy, but it can achieve magic work when you use agentic work and have software literally build itself in claude code agentic loop (regardless of provider now that its jailbreaked)
