I am getting an error saying I need socket.html and io is null.
I don't know shit about lua.

Create Shells.txt and put your shells in it, that will fix the io error.
And the socket.http error can be fixed by updating lua, As the new versions come with sockets.

Where do the shells go? I had them in the same directory as the lua file and the root directory.

Same dir should work, if not edit the path or replace my shitty way of reading files.
