C

Learning.

Hey all, so I have always wanted to learn C/C++. It is kind of my ultimate goal. I know a fair bit og python so I have the core programming concepts well known, and I don't see why I should further delay. I wanted to ask a few questions:

Should I leanr C, or C++? And why?

Any well known good e-books for c/c++?

Thanks in advance.

Obviously - if you want to, it's a big yes. It's natively compiled (Java for example is bytecode compiled, then ran by the VM. Python does that too), thus faster than most languages (besides assembly, ofcourse). Besides this, it can do anything you want. Literally. If it cannot do something very, very, very low level (like floor-level), then you can always embed assembly. I doubt you'd ever want to go this low.
I meant should I choose C or C++ :D. I heard C++ is a bloated version of C.

What a good thought provoking question.
What is the problem/obstacle that we're trying to solve/cross here?
Is there any such thing as a woman of honor, and sincerity?

I'm gonna answer your 2nd question.
Today, I started reading C++ Primer (5th edition) and it's amazing.
It's an ebook but will help you master the basic and get you ready for intermediate level ebooks,
Go for C++ mate cause its object oriented and there are many great tutorials here..
just my opinion..!!

Well...

My thought: Learn basic C so you feel comfortable around compiling, coding, etc. Basic stuff. THEN when you feel like you can find different ways to print 'hello world' or make x a variable, move to C++. C++ Is hard to get into, and worth it.
Op I would learn C first and get comfortable with the low level concepts before moving on to something bloated like C++
