I think I'm just here because at least it's more productive than Facebook or 9gag. I have to say I don't miss anything in particular, but the groups have become somewhat cringeworthy. I was in a few, but I didn't really like the way they worked then, so I just stopped caring.

My activity writing on bulletin boards has decreased significantly over the last few years, likely because of the realization that arguing on the internet is pointless and seldom constructive. I've gotten much better at choosing which battles to fight.

On a side note: By your definition, LQ users have also been promoted to mentor or staff, but it's probably not as common as it has been. According to the wiki, several "Lounge Gods" (AKA trolls) and what not have also been staff members.

I am always frustrated by these pro "Old HF is best" users. It's like seeing a 21 year old who has the mentality of a 5 year old. Why won't the fact be accepted that Hack Forums won't stay the same as it was years ago?

If you like the old HF so much, go back to 2010 where the Historic Moron went on a rampage throughout the forum.
Or, go back to the time where Null and Legion were throwing bomb shells at each other.
Or, go back to the time where Anonymous pulled off a scam months later with BELLAGIO (Acroz) behind his ass.

Are you a 2009 lounge poster who cares about profile posts and feels like 09 was the best year? I'm pretty sure you know what Omni did, if you still remember. Would you rather have Omniscient to still enforce the limitation that he implemented on that certain day?
