I'm also in this situation. I'm a (amateur) web developer with of course, a Desktop. I'm getting to the point where I feel i'd prefer a laptop as it's more convenient, such as whenever i'm at College or in bed etc. Every time i sit at my desktop now, i don't feel like i want to sit there and code, i feel like i want to sit on a laptop and do it.

But, i run three monitors, mainly just two but occasionally three and switching to a laptop would draw me back big time. Quite simply, I would need to sell the desktop to get a laptop as at this point in time, i'm not made of money.

I'm also losing interest in gaming, i have a PS4 and Xbox One sitting there doing nothing now and i've never really been a PC gamer apart from playing Euro Truck and American Truck simulator on the occasion.

But like you said, i'm attached to my desktop and it's becoming frustrating.
