One of my big life long dreams is to create cures for certain diseases that currently are not backed enough. I'm only 15, and I'm a B Grade student, Is this a realistic goal If I work hard enough? I would love to be apart of the pharmaceutical Industry.

Work your ass off and it's more than possible. If you only kinda put the effort in, you'll only kinda get the results you want.
Here's probably not the best place to post this though, most of the forum members here that are your age are still immature kids.
Anything is a realistic goal if you put your mind to it.
You need to work your ass off, study hard, get good grades, and continue to learn and move up to be able to achieve such. You might fall short due to finding a cure isn't something that happens every day, however you might. Never know, and won't unless you try.

Would that still be something that is worth pursuing, or would that be unrealistic? I'm sure if you do enough research you'll hopefully be able to cure a disease. Which would include countless hours of research. Well, grades help you to achieve degrees, and degrees lead to opportunities to work with great and knowledgeable people / companies. I don't think anyone would take someone serious that doesn't have a degree, or did bad at school. (Jan 18, 2017 10:10 PM)IceCreamWidMyChicken Wrote: Alright, sounds good. Clarification would've helped you're making it seem like you're going to save the world by yourself. I don't think that's really possible to be honest, for a middle class person anyway. You need financial backing, Investors, etc.

Not unrealistic and you don't need to be a child prodigy. A brilliant mind is certainly required to excel in research though.
And, the pharmaceuticals aren't the key curing most of the diseases, even if they could they won't. Just because they will lose profit, and that means all to them. Look to other fields like biogenetics and biomedical. |
