Hello I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for a efficiency way to trade and store crypto currencies, not just the main ones. I am not looking for suggestions on which to invest in, just where to start trading & storing them.

Poloniex is your best bet. You can store and trade over there but you're better off storing coins in the official desktop wallet, find the bitcointalk thread for your coin and there should be a link there.

I have headed over to poloniex as the guide mentioned above also mentioned it. I'm struggling to get that desktop client though so going to leave this open. Anyone else recommend a desktop client?
