Check-Up

Just bought a Macbook Pro

Just got a macbook pro from someone on the internet, he seemed like a cool guy and everything, but it's not letting me reboot the computer because I need the original persons Apple ID who bought the laptop first, and I don't have that. So, I was wondering what I could use to check if the computer is looking good in terms of any viruses, etc. What would be best to use for this?
Please help me on my journey to 1000 subs on YouTube!

Sounds like you got an iCloud locked MBP.
I'm not exactly familiar with Macs but iirc you can take apart the laptop and wipe the SSD and put it back or clear the CMOS
Didnt know they could do that. Restart it and hold down option + r to go into recovery mode. Then go to disk utility and erase the drive, after that you should be able to reinstall OSX fresh. As far as I know that always works unless they put a firmware password on it in which case you have to go to apple and have them re-flash it.

Or maybe the guy will help you out if you hit him up and let him know.
