Account closed for selling copyright?

Hello Omniscient, you replied to my thread but I cannot reply back as you closed it. I tried to PM you but I need at least 25 posts. I hope this reaches you.

I swear to god my product belongs to me and me only. I coded every line in that source from scratch. The only other person that has my source is 961API, and it is because I trusted to give it to him so he could implement his licensing system (I was having bugs with it, the Initialize event would occur simultaneously with the initialization of the 961 Login Form, defeating the purpose of a licensing system...)

A buyer told me there were rumors that I was a modified Orcus after my account got closed. I have not even heard of Orcus till now, but I looked into it and there are a lot of krebs security decompiling articles on it. I have read through it and I can easily prove to you my product is completely different from this, it is not even close.

For instance, Orcus appears to be developed in C#, this is a full VB.Net source.
Orcus uses Mono.Cecil for passing on parameters to a precompiled stub, while I use Codedom for a more dynamic compiling approach.
Orcus uses a modified ConfuserEx for heavy obfuscation, I am much more transparent with my product.
The GUI of Orcus appears to be vastly different than mine, and it admittedly seems to have more features too..

I have wrote every line out of the 20,000 in my source. Please let me prove this to you. I have so many backup copies of my project, all timestamped weeks and months apart during different states of development. You can easily see the progression of the project. I do not know where this copyright claim is coming from, but please let me prove to you that this has to be a huge misunderstanding. I am really counting on so much to sell my product here, I invested so much time into it. I am not doing well financially and this was a last resort for me. Please contact me so I can prove this to you, I have not violated any copyright claims or sold anyone else's software, I wrote every bit of this software and has only ever been in my hands... I would never sell anybody elses software, especially claim it as mine. I can prove this to you so easily, please just give me the chance.

Thank you,
- Arenna
Claims that he coded all 20,000 lines himself yet needs help to get a licensing system done.
Instead of a huge wall of text, can’t you show some type of proof you coded it from scratch? Would certainly do you much better than just your word.

If this truly was your product, which I am doubtful it is and you were as transparent as you claim, you would file a DMCA takedown request.

So, if you can prove it's yours (which I doubt you can given the facts that you stated), you would file a copyright infringement request and move on.

I warn you though, false accusations of copyright infringement or failure to procure the correct evidence may lead to purjery charges against you.

How does DMCA claiming work when you're coding malware though?

You wouldn't outright say it's malware, that would be stupid. Especially if it's apparently got to do with Orcus, you would simply say remote administration tool...

DMCA wouldn't directly look at the code, hence the penalty notices for perjury. They're just an enforcement body, which for example if the tool was being sold here, the notice could be given to Omni and he would be legally obligated to remove it.

Thanks for making it clear, altho I can already see meme articles poping up in krebs and other sec magazines.
I'm not going to explain copyright law to OP or how the DMCA process works. That's his problem.
