It could've been done intentionally for distraction to look like account losing/selling so Omni doesn't leak his information (assuming the info he registered with (IP and email) are accurate and 100% his).

I doubt his account was compromised or sold.

Those who know Mercathlon won't doubt this was an exit scam.

Mercathlon is a member who spammed every single contest even when the prize was $5. He even got banned for a few months because it and his ban expired recently. It was obvious that he was broke and desperate, exit scamming was his way of making some money.

2362 posts in Member Contests of a total of 2,981 posts explain a lot.

TS is just a distraction so his account would look like it's compromised.

Either he doesn't want to feel ashamed because he probably has a few friends here so he'll make up a story how he got hacked, ratted or w/e.

Or he's scared for his IP and Email address being leaked here by Omni.
