Been experimenting with AI-assisted development lately and ended up making this:
https://github.com/TrapEmAll/UnityScraper
XboxUnity is a long-running community platform centered around Xbox 360 modding and preservation. It’s mainly known for hosting:
Title Updates (TUs)
downloadable game content metadata XUID/Gamertag tools
Unity Link services
* modding resources for JTAG/RGH consoles
A lot of the Xbox 360 homebrew and modding scene used it to manage game updates, multiplayer compatibility, and archived console content that became difficult to find elsewhere.
It's an asset scraping/extraction framework for automating parts of:
asset dumping
bundle scraping
resource extraction
update tracking
The interesting part is that basically the entire repo was written with AI, I touched nothing at all other than giving it the original XboxUnity URL and prompting
Still refining things, but I wanted to release it publicly and get opinions from people here, especially anyone into:
Unity reversing
game modding
asset extraction
automation tooling
Would also be interested in hearing how people feel about AI-written tooling in general.
Do you think projects like this are actually viable?
