Sometimes in today's world we might miss a call. Or way may want to try and find someones phone / cell number. Here are a few** ways in which this can be done. I will try to update this with new methods / ways to do this when I and other people notify me of other ways.

1. TrueCaller https://www.truecaller.com/ - Probably one of the most useful ways to obtain contact details through a number of your choice or perhaps a missed call;


How it works?

If you want to find a phone number via truecaller, you should sign In with your Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn account. You know these account are connected with your mobile number. By log In to your account, your account will be connected with truecaller, that is truecaller gets your name with your mobile number. So if someone search with your mobile number, truecaller will give them your contact name. In a single search, truecaller gets and publish a contact details together. Like this, Truecaller has a database of more than 50,000,000 contact details.

You can also remove your details from this service ( so people can't look you up ) with their un list subscription form.

2. Using Mobile Number Based Messengers Like WhatsApp:

Nowadays, there are many mobile number based messengers are available like Whatsapp. That is, you should have a mobile number to register on these applications. Here your mobile number is using as your user name (id).

How to find a contact details of an anonymous mobile number using this way:

Add that unknown number to your mobile contact list. Then, Add/Open his messenger (message) page, if he/she is an already registered member, you can see his/her name and photo.

Whatsapp, Line and Wechat are the most popular mobile number based messengers. Kakao Talk, Hike, Cubie ets are also such messengers. Whatsapp has more than 300million active users.

In Whatsapp you have to create a new group and add anonymous number to the group, now if you open group members list or if he/she message anything on group, you can see his/her name on right side of his/her number. Here you should not save his/her number on you phone book.

Example: Now here I am going to find the owner of this number: +91 96 33 377149


1)Save the number to the your contact without any name (it is important)

2)Then create a new group from WhatsApp menu

3)Give any name to the group, I gave 'test'.

4)Add that number to the group by browsing contacts

5)Create

6)Now delete that saved number from your contacts

7)Now open your new group
Take the menu => Open Group info

8) Now you can see his name at right side.


Using Facebook & Twitter

You know, nowadays Facebook is the most using and popular social media network among the world. Normally email id is using for creating an account on Facebook. But if you try to create an account from mobile phone, Facebook allow you to create an account using your mobile number instead of email id . If someone create an account on Facebook using mobile number, then you can search such user by mobile number. So this way is also useful to find owner of a mobile number. This way gives you the name, location, job, dob etc of unknown number.

Twitter is the second largest social media network site. Twitter also allow to find people by mobile number. But user can disable this option to find them using their mobile number.

nice guide thanks a lot , there is something better called truecaller app on android or numberbook which is now used more often and give you good other functions like blocking numbers that you don t want to answer ...but thanks for the other ways
