You MUST have iOS5 in order to use my method!

• Go to Settings >> iCloud
  
• Set Mail to ON
  
• Sign in with your Apple ID
  
• Follow the directions to choose your @me.com name
  

That's it!

I didn't get asked for a password?
How do I use this email addresses?

The password will be your Apple ID's password. I haven't tried using it with iMessage, but I'm sure you could.
