Well, in this tutorial you will learn how to make the config files useful like i showed you, This tutorial based on symlinking and there's 2 ways to do this :

1. Manual - That you can do through few commands in the shell environment

2. Automatically - That you can do through some ready scripts like in the tutorial these tools ( scripts ) coded already by me to make it easy for you, but if you want my opinion you should learn manual technique

Now if you want be safe from this you should update and upgrade your server always, But remember you can protect your server without updating or upgrade if you gave the right permissions to right folders and checked from your server always and you should always do penetrate test on your server to make sure it's safe

no we get the configs of the whole server and from configs we can deface or get cpanels of the server
