Hello HackForums Community,

I've started to use HF on a more regular basis. I started using HF as my brother referred me to the website.

I'm now upgrading to l33t, (I've already paid) I'm worried as I understand there is a rule stating "No multiple accounts". Is there anyway I can insure that we are in-fact two different people.

I will not do any trades/business with my brother via the site. I just thought I should inform someone incase of a mistake.

I've also heard of account merging, I prefer not to do this as I don't want to be held responsible for my brothers attitude which I believe is highly childish.

Usually when there are two accounts on one IP and one account has a bad rep that is your "brother's" and the other has a good one it brings up red flags.

But you better PM omni before you upgrade so he knows of this.

Policy is we have no policy on that. It's basically a crap shoot with no guarantees. You might get merged or banned by staff one day. Especially if something draws us to review your account such as rep abuse or deal disputes. Multiple accounts on a home IP are a huge red flag for staff. So it's at your risk that you do that.

I'm considering options for labeling associated accounts in the future but it's low on the list.
