It's not bad, but it lacks depth with some things. Try adding subtle gradients to things to make them pop a bit.
Here is my first go at just a form theme (I will do more if it is requested. This was just to give you an idea.)



See how it has that subtle shine at the top that adds a bit of depth. It makes it look a little prettier than just a flat image.
(One of the reasons I hate the metro theme.)

Just one thing that could help your theming. (Was the first thing I paid attention to.)

This fucking sucks. I'm shitting myself, if anything, I'm going to have diarrhea in my eyes from how bad this POS is.

Cut the kid a little slack. It is his first theme and not everybody can start out amazing. He has a little work to do, but he can get just as good as some of the more professional themers on HF.

@OP Keep working at it and you will get great really soon. You're definitely on the right track; so don't let anyone tell you that your themes suck.
