Just a quick tutorial on how to use a Proxy on Skype so you don't get your IP pulled.
1. Open up Skype and log in once.
2. Go to the Tools menu.
3. Click "Options."
4. Click "Advanced" in the left hand column on the new window that shows up. This window should be called "Skype™-Options."
5. Click "Connection" to configure your proxy settings.
6. In the drop-down menu that appears in the middle of the connection options, select the appropriate proxy type. You are given two options: SOCKS5 or HTTP. You will have to know what kind of proxy is the one you intend to use.
7. In the text box labeled "Host," write the IP address of the proxy (i.e. 89.233.10.2).
8. In the box labeled "Port," write the port of the proxy (i.e. 8080).
Tips:
#If you connect to your proxy normally using a username and password, you should check the checkbox called "Enable proxy authentication." Write your username and password in the corresponding boxes below.
#If you use the Onion Routing (OR) network (also known as "Tor"), you can configure the proxy as "localhost" with the port you selected in your OR configuration.
#If you experience very slow speeds or connection errors numerous times while using a proxy, your proxy's server is probably overloaded with incoming connection requests and probably cannot provide you service at that particular time. You definitely should consider having about 3 to 5 proxies at hand so that if one fails, you can try others.
Warnings:
#Some proxies are not completely anonymous. Do not use a proxy to do anything illegal, as authorities could request access to a log that a proxy recorded of your activity. You should only use proxies for anonymous chatting and browsing.
