The police actually got involved in a prank call that I did once.

Last year at school, some friends and I were doing spoof calling on my phone. We decided to call some girl's mom, and I pretended that I was her boyfriend. I told her that I got the girl pregnant, and that I was so sorry and whatever. In retrospect, that probably wasn't a very good idea. Anyway, the mother wound up showing up at the school, pulling the girl out of class for like 3 periods, and flipped her shit at the school. She legitimately thought the girl was pregnant, and was going to make her take a test and everything. Once the girl explained that the call wasn't really from her phone, her mother let her go back to class. Then, she called the police about it. I'm not really sure if they even bothered tracing the call, but they probably didn't.
