CodeSafe - Save those important codes

Is this text based or MYSQL?

If text based is not that cool and will mean you have to have a separate place holder for the code not accessible to you whilst elsewhere (on another pc).

If it is mysql then Gratz to your sir will be using it...
Very useful will be using for share thanks for the share xD

Thanks

Yea i made a few like that but got flamed so hard from the community for a simple (text) saver, Mine even had encryption's for safer storage etc..

It had search , encryptions etc. but i still got flammed... so good luck.. :P

Thanks

I made a notes systems kinda like this and used 2 encryption methods and saved into the registry file. I released it and many people used it and still use it.

Its also depends on the design and idea sometimes more than the acual coding for people to like it, thats why i chooses mav's evolve theme as its amazing and makes an app look supreme.

I don't know any coder that can say they know everything and can remember everything, even i, after several years of coding still need to look back on older projects that i have made for a reference or to refresh my memory on certain codes.

This tool helps in many ways and saves me a lot of time.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply,

Yea i hear you on the having to look back from time to time, we all do i think :D

It dose interest me tho why your saving it to the registery? I thought it would be a bad idea to save so much data to the registery... What would happened if i tried saving a big bit of code? How much storage can the registery hold in one key?

I mean say a user added a password list to it, could be anything up to 2gb for example?

And yea for me it has always been the code, i was never blinded by fancy bells and whistles or nice colored text/lights (but marvas theme is a beast :D) lol, I'm more into the code efficiency and trying to use the best coding practices available.

Which having poke to you on Skype know you also about the code, So always love looking at your projects etc. I'm still loving the Net auth you made too :D
Where does it save the notes too?

Looks good.
Not a bad little application to be honest dude!
You should continue the project and create a sharing function.

Where the codes have to be approved by you and are features within another tab and are based on user ratings etc. :}
Seem pretty sweet, it would be a lot better if it was saved on a database, but awesome none the less.

Why was leaf not successful, just because one is not doesn't mean they all aren't.
I made one of these some time back that encrypts the snippet and saves it to a location of your liking with a custom extension.

Comes in handy for me.

Thanks

Incorrect. Microsoft want's people out of the registry. Use XML or my.settings object.
Right click -> New -> Text Document
Na, jokes! The program is really cool :) I'm using it at the moment to store some snippets. Would be cool with a "online future", like a login to access your files all over the world.

Care to explain that stupid answer? My.settings is a xml-formatted config file that the user does not have to worry about permissions.

A program should only live in One location.
