How to install a OS on VMware

Supreme tutorial.

Do you have to have 2 seperate harddrives or just one? I started downloading workstation 9 few second ago.
As always, you are very helpful Perfect Cell. This tutorial is certainly easier to follow than some others you might find when looking for help.
nice tutorials !
for runing vmware in windowns you must need at least 4 gb ram to run both vmwork station and your host pc.

Glad you made it, I was going to do it, but due to time constraints I was unable to.

Very nicely done.

Good work buddy. Would be nice, if you could ask a moderator to place your thread up on the top, like a stickie.

So that it doesn't get buried and forgotten.

This is definitely a good idea, if I have sometime over the weekend, I might actually do that. It's not hard, but it would take some time to write a tutorial for this.
Thanks for good information.(How to install a OS ON VMWARE)

does this delete everything and would there be no trace left of that virtual machine ?

If you don't want your virtual machine any longer, from within the Vmware control panel, right click on the virtual machine itself and select the delete option.

When you delete the virtual machine, off your hard drive it's doesn't get 100% deleted, it can still be recovered, so use a tool like Shredder or CCleaner to do that for you.
Thanks for the TuT. Nice one, helped alot.

HELP: must I burn my Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit - Black Edition 2012.3.17 to disk to install on VMware Workstation 9
OR can I mount it with PowerISO? If I can mount with PowerISO to install would I change Boot from CD DRIVE to something else?
