Obviously reading the traffic would be pointless as it is encrypted. Is the only way to do this by injecting into the browser and grabbing the form data? And if so where would be a good place to read up on this.

What language are you trying to code it in?

I would prefer to do this the skid way in C# but I figure I will most likely have to use C++.

You can take a look at HttpWatch since it should be able to take care of encrypted packets as it supports https.
